According to the Gender Genie, a testing mechanism based on that developed by s.c.j.m regular Shlomo Argamon et al., my published writings have characteristics leading the program to believe that they were written by a woman. I think this says more about the algorithms than it does about me.

I scored 1881 male, 1248 female on my latest journal post. 1535 male and 1508 female on the one before that. And 999 male and 444 female for a portion of a piece of academic writing.

It is weird how they evaluate male or female writing by the use of a variety prepositions, articles, and what have you. Hmmmm.

These programs always believe I am male.

It's ok. Everyone knows that women write better than men. So if you write like a girl, it's 'cause you rule, 'cause boys drool.

Huh - I was tapped for a guy at ~8600 to 6600. I knew all those years of resisting the fell temptations of quiche were going to pay off someday.

Also, I've just now learned that my machine won't support - among other things - animated gifs. Now that's just petty.
