Mondays, only Mondays
Feb. 13th, 2008 07:19 pmI have been advised by a doctor of mine that I ought to do crosswords in order to improve my enfeebled powers of association. (The same doctor has recommended Concentration to improve my equally impoverished memory.)
The problem is that I don't know how to get crosswords at my particular skill level. In terms of the New York Times crossword puzzle, I am a Monday. As a measure of how far gone I am, it took me an hour to solve the Monday crossword. This would seem to restrict my crossword-doing to once a week, which is not what the doctor had in mind. I have investigated collections of NYT crosswords, and they all seem to be Monday-Friday or Sunday only. Are there collections of crosswords which, though not edited by the Times, are at a Monday level of difficulty?
