Feb. 13th, 2007 06:14 amSometimes you don't realize the solution to your problem is staring you in the face. My friends-of-friends list is very difficult to read, because one friend of mine has friended a weather service which updates about once every six minutes. Consequently, in every 20-item friends-of-friends page, there are nineteen weather updates and one item I might actually care to read. Because I have been awake all night, I have cobbled together a little toy which downloads the last 350 friends-of-friends posts, strips the weather reports, does a little twiddling, and displays the results in my browser.
Of course, one could suggest that weather belongs on the client side. There are some fine plugins...
