Unintended consequences

Due to the stress of a platelet donation gone wrong, I read the text in the box on page six of the Threepenny Review as "Threats by our donors."

P.S. - No medical complications; I'm fine, just missing more of my precious bodily fluids than I intended to give.

I blacked out midway through the donation, which was supposed to be two units. The nurse aborted the process, but it had not yet started returning the blood in the machine to my body.
