Has anyone else come across OpenDisk, a system for providing "extras" on your computer for audio CDs? It appears to be from EMI, and it has the most onerous Terms of Service I have ever seen. The terms can be changed at their will without notification, they cannot be held liable for screwing up your computer, you must update your address with them whenever you use the service, and so on. I read about four paragraphs in, and that was enough for me. I have no idea what kind of service or multimedia material would be so valuable to the user that he or she would submit him or herself to such an incredibly one-sided contract, which is practically a contract of adhesion. My guess is that EMI is just hoping for ignorant click-through.
