Short Shameful Retraction

Of course, these things hit me after I post, but I do have Christian friends who believe that these are the End Times. OTOH, this would be a good time to retract what might be taken as an insult. I must. OTOH, what these friends most dearly want is to be bodily translated to Heaven. I thought it would be a win-win situation. I was, of course, wrong.

As I indicated in my previous response, there's a school of thought in Christianity that feels the Rapture is an escapist fantasy, concocted from a single verse in the Pauline letters, by Christians who as you say, dearly want to be bodily translated into Heaven without having to suffer the Tribulation.

And I'd suggest that any Christian who thinks that these are the End Times, needs to study their church history a bit more closely to find out just how often various sects have proclaimed the End Times only to see their predictions fall flat.
